I'm contemplating to publish a coffee table book with focus on certain destinations and situations. Will be photos and text. I cant find much here on previous discussions. Please give me a link if this has been discussed before. What are the options I have and what are the steps. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

Michael R. at Luminous Landscape self published a book of photographs. He discussed the process, including the printing in China, on his web site. I was curious and purchased a copy. I'm don't know if he sold out, but you may still be able to pick one up.

Here's another interesting article I found about "self-publishing"

I have not read it all yet, but looks quite informative. I live in HK so printing would be a breeze. Wonder what would be the best software so I can do the layout myself. Any more input appreciated.
Folks who have attended report this workshoip by Sam Abell is the best of the best for anyone with a book in progress. I talked to Sam about it at length, and it's going to be my first stop when I zero in on a topic for my own first.

If you are looking at press runs of 2,000 copies or more I can help. I've brokered many publications, color and B&W, with huge savings for the photographer. I've been printing in Korea since 1999.
