Hello everyone,

I've just completed my Web site and it went live last night (which explains why I haven't been posting much lately). I did all of the design and coding myself in Adobe GoLive. It's my first site, so there aren't a lot of bells and whistles.

If you have a few minutes to wander through, any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for having a look.

Best regards,

Looks really good Chuck! I like how you reflected the title in the water on your first page. The website is well laid out with easy navigation and great photography. The one thing I found slightly odd is that your background on your first page is black but the backgrounds on all of your other pages is gray. I think that the change in background colors interrupts the uniformity of your site. Just a thought. Other than that I think you did an awesome job! :toast:

Very tastefully done and beautiful images to boot. I agree with Tom's note on the changing background but otherwise the site is wonderful - easy to navigate and leads the viewer to some real photographic gems.

Great website Chuck. I like the opening page. Cool graphic. The rest is very simple & easy to navigate. I think less is more when it comes to photography websites! Well done!

Nice work - it really shows off the best of Cuyahoga Valley area well.

That Rural Maple tree from Hale farm - You didn't by any chance get that in 2005? I have almost the identical shot, although perhaps a day later, maybe even using your tripod holes

I love your website. You've got great photos. It's an upbeat looking design as well.

Well done. And of course, not only the web design but also the photography!

Contrary to somebody else before, I don't like the reflected title on the start page too much, though.

Well done Chuck,

I agree with what others have said... I like the photos, and the simplicity. I would suggest that you add a "Previous Image" opposite the "Next Image" so that you could go back if you wanted to. I would move the "Back to Gallery" in the middle, on the next line down from the Next and Previous. Just a suggestion. Either way - nice job.

Thanks to you all for the supportive comments and suggestions. I'll keep them in mind as the site evolves. I appreciate the time you spent giving it a look.

Dan--Yes, that maple is from late October 2005. There were a lot of us shooting in the park that weekend. I got that shot just before the lady from Hale Farm came out and said we couldn't shoot from tripods. In her mind, only professionals use tripods. It was a nice compliment, but misguided at best.

Nice work, Chuck. All of it. Simple design that doesn't detract from the value of the images, easy to work through the site, great work to look at, good low print prices for customers.

Well I had to check the site out after reading the positive comments. Very nice! I've bookmarked your site to look at in the future when I go to design my own website. Not that I would copy your design exactly but as a sample how to design a site that's simple and easy to navigate.

Love your photos too. Great work considering that you only have been serious about your craft for a few years. Nice work, Randy
