I am currently using an older version of the ColorVision Spyder Pro for my monitor and while it works reasonably well, it is no longer being supported by ColorVision. With the purchase of an Epson R2400, it is now time to calibrate both monitor and printer. The GretagMacbeth unit is $1100 and the ColorVision PrintFix Pro Suite is available for less than $550. I am interested in what users think, especially about the ColorVision unit since it is half the price.

I can't speak about the GretagMacbeth system, as I have no experience with their products. However, I have used the ColorVision Spyder Pro for a number of years with very good results. I recently purchased the Colorvision PrintFix Pro Suite to use with an Apple LCD monitor and Epson 2400 printer. Easy to setup and excellent matching between monitor and printer. It does take time to make the custom profiles, but then all the systems are pretty time intensive. I'm very pleased with the Colorvision PrintFix Pro Suite.

I'm also using ColorVision's PrintFix Pro Suite for monitor and printer. I'm also pleased and agree with Jack's comments. I found that the applications supplied on the CD were not the latest, so make sure you check ColorVision's download page for updates.
