I'm looking at getting a new monitor. An LCD one, probably 19" or so. I'd like to get a good one. It's very likely that if I can nail down which one I want, my husband will get for me as a present. Pretty sweet of him, huh?
Price range is somewhere between $300 and $600 or so, if I can get a good one for that.
I have Windows XP and an HP computer now.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Genny, check out my review of the Samsung 940T 19" I posted a while ago. It has been since March and I still like the monitor a lot.

Hi
I recently purchased the Viewsonic VX2025wm 20/1" wide screen, and have been very impressed with its quality and cost, I'd very much recommend that as the monitor to get, then go with the Dell 20" wide screen, from the reviews I saw online it put the Viewsonic just ahead of the Dell, but I'm sure you'll get people that will say the opposite. Here is a link to the Viewsonic on NewEgg.com
As well only get a 20" LCD monitor or above and not a 19" or less as you only get the true benefits of the monitor by using the bigger sizes.

Thanks for the help, guys. Yes, Ed, I remember your post on the Samsung. I'm fighting color problems right now with my present system, and I'm trying to learn just exactly what I need in order to better utilize my calibration unit (Gretag MacBeth eye 1 display 2) to get something out of my printer that looks like the color on my screen. I have a plain HP flat screen CRT monitor now.
Andy, I saw another recommendation for that Viewsonic somewhere else. I'll have to look it up, Thanks.
