I haven't been to the mountains since I was a child, so I hope you keep posting some more of your favorites from your trip. I'm sure it was a wonderful experience. How long were you out there?

Grand & colorful, Jack!

Beautiful color, Jack...thanks for sharing this!
We've had a lot of wind last night here in MI, so we're losing leaves before peak color has even arrived!

Nice shot, Jack. I really want to make a trip out to the Sierra one of these days. I just got back from Colorado myself a little over a week ago.
The weather here is very windy and since the maples are just barely turning for the most part I'm hoping they make it through this front. The poplar are losing their leaves fast.
Hope the workshop went well

Holy cow! That is beautiful. So you do know how to hold your camera horizontally.
Or is this several verticals stitched together?

I was surprised how many leaves we still have left, and some are still green even after the frost we've been having. There might be some small hope yet.

After winds of up to 50mph the last few days, this side of the state has lost a lot of leaves. I'll find out tomorrow how we really fared as I'm going out with some friends to shoot.

When one gets to see this, one realizes how insignificant we are in the overall realm of life.
