Since Anil refuses to help me pick-and choose my photos, I'm moving on and deciding for myself.
Here's a spurs photo taken while some cow-boys met at Bridgeport for a cattle branding contest. Trams of 4, 2 lassoe, one tips the cow and one runs with the iron (too bad, it was just paint, so we didn't see actual branding).
The less glorious fact is a scared cow poops all over itself, and it can be quite liquid... Yuck. Even 4th grade kids were competing.

i like this, reminds me of David Stoecklein. The only difference is that his would be during magic hour. I think this gets more to core of the feeling than a glamorized golden light version would. I need to get myself some shots like this.

Yeah, the golden hour...
You really have to be a dedicated solo photographer OR have very comprehensive friends. I actually got scolded that WE as I was spending too much time on my photo hobby to the point waiting for me becomes unbearable
Anyhow, the rodeo ended at 3PM anyways.
Talking of golden hour, I have some JTree photos taken in the late afternoon that look totally messed up, because it's way too yellow. I was very surprised to see that while I did not notice more than warm colors at the time. The cloudy sunset was very nice though afterwards.

Hell Dan,
This is beautiful capture [I couldn't have done any better in picking from the whole set you pointed me to. ]. The tight composition here says it all - without having to show everything. I like it a lot.
I wouldn't worry too much about "golden hour/light." Personally, I think its overrated and often results in photos that are too predictable. Of course, this is just my opinion and others can disagree.
