Is this the same version I saw earlier? Or a different one? This appears lighter for some reason - more details in the foreground. Anyway, I like it even more.
Yes Richard this is the same shot. I sized and sharpened it for the web so it shows the foreground details better.
Alice,
Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about doing what you recommended. However that tiny dot you see right next to the left side sea oat stalk is one of Richard's favorite kind of wildlife, and cropping the left sea oat stalk would mean losing Homo piscides!

Matthew, a really nice shot. How in the world did you get it without the grass blowing. I remember the afternoon we were down at state park in Southern Pines and the wind kept blowing the grass. Great shot!

Nice shot Matthew!!
hey is that what is commonly known as a "turon'?
The quick answer is that I shot it at f/11 with digital at ISO 160 instead of f/45 on ISO 100 4x5 film. 1/30 second instead of 1 second. Also I shot multiple frames which is a no-no at $5 a shot. And the grass did blow a little bit which you can see with the full-sized version here:
Of course the Shen Hao would have delivered double the resolution. . .

For a minute there I thought you were down in my part of the world. I'm assuming by the name Wrightsville is in NC. Sure looks a lot like Florida though. Very pretty shot.
