Shot this last spring when the park had water and was green, it can be a nice place to photograph if you get the right condtions. Hopefully we will get decent color and a wet fall, haven't seen one fo those for awhile down here.

Beautiful waterfall. Where is this place?

Clifty Falls State Park is in Madison Indiana , right in between Cincy and Lousiville on the Ohio river, very deep canyons and lots of waterfalls if it rains hard, also very nice color in the fall. Right now its pretty dry, but a couple days of rain can make it very nice to shoot.

Looks interesting, might be worth a drive. How does fall foliage look there typically?

Very nice, Bernie. I'll have to make a stop on my way back from the Smokies in October if conditions are good.

Very well done. The fog really adds to the mood of the shot and the different shades of green are lovely.
I did a little camping at Clifty Falls SP last year over the Holloween weekend. Unfortunately, I missed the color...not sure if I was late or if it was just a bad year...lots of brown leaves. The falls were relatively dry also. Let's hope for a wet and colorful autumn.

Richard the last few years have been kinda dull, but usually the leafs in the park can be pretty intense it's definitely worth your drive from Louisville to check it out. Madison is also a very beautiful city with all of the Historic structures and riverfront. I'll post some of my Madison pictures to give you some idea of the area. Danny I will post here how the park looks to let you all know if it's worth the stop. Oh BTW thanks for the nice comments.

Thanks Bernie - that would be very helpful. I'll be coming back from the Smokies on 28 October, unless I find a reason to stay an extra day or two after I've finished with my workshops.
Beautiful scene. The lush greens scream "spring" and the misty atmosphere is very complimentary to the image. It feels as though it's a bit tilted counter clockwise though...could be an optical illusion.

Thanks, I'll definetely keep my eye out come end of September. Ironically, last year in California was the best foliage I'd ever seen there.
