I'm tentatively planning a cave photo trip for the Tri-State Photographic Society in Mid September to a former Commercial cave in Mt. Vernon, KY. It sounds like it will be a pretty small group, so I thought I would ask if anyone here would be interested in going.

This is a leveled and lit if we want, former commercial cave, so there's nothing too strenuous or anything like one of my regular trips.

Depending on the weekend, I might be interested in going. September is pretty busy for me, but this would be a interesting opportunity.

Hi Dan,

Saturday, September 16th is the weekend we have worked out to go. I'm doing a presentation tonight to the Tri-State Photographic Society on cave photography.

Here is a link to the preserve's website:

There are some nice photos on the site by Nathan Williams that shows some possibilities.

It will be a pretty easy trip, in a well maintained cave, however we will have full control of the lights for the most part, and other sections are not lit nor manicured if we wish to shoot there. There is no crawling nor any of the other strenuous stuff that I normall do for a photo trip, unless you really felt the need to get into the dirt.

Think like a Mammoth cave trip, just quite a bit shorter in length with no time limits to stop and shoot.

I'm hurting from an earlier trip and I'm not sure when I will be comfortable doing anything real strenuous for a while.
