I heard the Price of Canon 30D is going down. Does anyone know the right info.
I checked on B&H and sure enough they've reduced the price to $1274 (with 18-55 mm) lens.
Let me know if you know if there's a new Canon model coming up.
Yes, without a doubt there are new Canon models coming up. Can't tell you when though.
If the D30 meets your needs, why is it a concern?

Gautham,
How much does the EOS 30D cost in India in Rs. Just want to know for comparison sake.

Gautham,
The Photokina tradeshow will open in Cologne, Germany on Sept 26. Historically Canon has introduced new products at this show. There is speculation that Canon will announce SOME of these new products on Aug 24.
Apparently there are people who have already sold their cameras is anticipation of the new releases and a price drop in the resale market. We'll know soon if their bet pays off.
Since all of this will happen very soon, I'd hold off on making a purchase immediately.
