This was shot at the Beaver Marsh in the Cuyahoga National Park. Some of you have been there when the fog is "happening". What made this morning special was that there was no cloud layer above the fog so the sun blasted through in all shades of yellow & orange.
I added some over sharpening to create the effect that can be seen especially in the lily pads in the foreground. It printed nice on Moab Entrada 190 Bright White (matte) paper.
This is pretty cool...gotta love fog. Some of the details are a bit tough to pick out at this size (understandable obviously ). For example, I didn't realize that those were lily pads until I read your comment. That changes the scene for me, in a positive sense. Is that a bridge or some sort of guardrail in the background?

Joel,
Yes, Unless you've been here you wouldn't have known. There is a "boardwalk" that goes across the beaver pond. It is sometimes very good & productive to photograph there. ( and sometimes not---I can atest).
I've shot there so many times and no two times are ever the same in the fog!

Great job Jack, I can never seem to catch this mood with my fog photos, never get the right exposure.

Sweet - wish I had been there. Give me a heads up next time.
Great eye and concept.
