Whose this guy on the Roan Mtn brochure I got in the mail ?

Yesterday I received the brochure announcing the 44th Annual Fall Roan Mountain Naturalist's Rally and whose photo is on the front of it ... none other than our very own SENP moderator Mr. Jerry Greer. You would think that they would want to put a picture on the front that would MAKE people want to come.

Jerry is the featured speaker Friday night, Sept 8, and his program will be "Blue Ridge Mountains - Ancient and Majestic". I'm looking forward to it and hope to see some others from the forum there.

Also David Duhl will be giving a presentation Saturday night entitled " Big Thoughts About Small Things : How to Photograph Mosses, Lichens, Mushrooms, Small Animals and Flowers"

There are also several field trips running Saturday and Sunday inculding a Nature Photography trip lead by David Ramsey of Johnson City.

It should be a great weekend and a good excuse to get out hiking or playing in the streams.

Hey, thanks Mike! Are you coming up for sunrise on Roan Saturday morning? I'll be leading that as well!

Damn, I'll be in Montana that week. Too bad I wont be there to heckle, J-man.
