Good Morning Sunshine from Mono Lake, CA.

Over July 4th weekend I headed to Mono Lake for a sunrise... Temp.
when I arrived at the parking lot was a cool 38 degrees. It warmed up
pretty darn quick though after the sun cleared the horizon... Only
dilemma was the skies were severe clear.. Not a cloud to be found that
morning...

So messed around with some shots of the lake.. Every time I have been
out there it looks very different. This year the water level at the
lake is up 3 feet from last year. A very different look to the place..
Had to trek through some of the muck and soft ground that was not
covered in water but still wet...
Before I left I setup for a panorama shot.. The final image ended up
being a 16 vertical shot panorama image...

Tech:
D2x
28-70mm
Shot in manual
no filters
Overlap of images by about 25%
Converted to TIFF and stitched via Panorama Factory.

Started out facing West for the left most image and ended up facing
Northwest for final image on the right side of the frame.. This most
likely caused a slight variability in the sky color...

Brutal Comments and Critiques Welcome!

Sorry, no brutal comments, but I like the sorta fish-eye feel of the panorama. (I gotta get me some of that panorama software one of these days.)

I think i fyou could control the highlights better on the tufa and the rock on the bottom left, you'd have a real solid print. perhaps you might consider cropping the black silhouetted tufa on the right edge too because it's a bit distracting since it's partially cut off.
