NPN Staff Profile - Samantha Chrysanthou
Contributing Editor

I used to practise law, but was not too soon into that career that I realized it was not my passion. A sudden opportunity presented itself in 2007, and I seized it to switch from law to more creative forms of expression in freelance photography and writing. It's been an exciting time, with all the highs and lows that accompany such a grand change and the struggle to make one's way in the world. I love shooting the prairies and mountains near my home and find the constantly shifting scenery stimulating. I also like to think a lot--about pretty much everything, but of course I tend to ruminate on photography too!

I think we have a pretty good thing going here on this Earth. I hope the work of photographers and other artists showcasing the natural world sparks a connection with viewers that ultimately leads to a path of preservation for this amazing planet.
