Sandpiper-like Birds

Keywords: Redshank, Turnstone red legs

This image was taken on my local beach at Berwick upon Tweed in North Northumberland. The beach is called Little Beach foe obvious reasons. Thge birds were feeding on the tide line, every now and again a larger wave would chase then up onto a mound of seaweed left by the tide the day before.

I like the randomness of the birds and the vibrant colour of the legs of the redshank's and turnstone's against the colour of the seaweed detritus.
