Jason Hahn "Whooping Cranes, In Memory of the Class of 2006" Endangered Species

Whooping Cranes Class of 2006 following an Operation Migration ultralight to their winter grounds in central Florida. This is the end of a 1200 mile journey and trains the cranes to follow a migratory route from Wisconsin to Florida in an effort to reintroduce whooping cranes to the wild and restore their population which is on the brink of extinction. The Whooping Cranes are raised in captivity in Wisconsin by the International Crane Foundation as part of a program to the recover this endangered species. Sadly this flock was killed by servee storms in Winter of 2007, imperiling the species even further.
