Kilimanjaro Crater Glaciers

From the summit of Uhuru, or Kilimanjaro at 19,340', a view to crater glaciers and Kenya to the north. When we were there in 2003, our guide told us that the glaciers filled the craters just a few years prior. The glaciers on Kili are diappearing rapidly, a victim of global warming. Villagers around the mountain are suffering dramatic water shaortages and an uncertain future.
