Swirl of Autumn Leaves (Editor's Pick + Year 2008 1st Hon. Mention, Photo Art)

This image won the Year 2008 1st Honorable Mention in the Photo Art Gallery here at NPN.

Use of software filters transformed one photograph of a macro view of maple leaves, with very shallow depth of field, into the image seen here. Both processes of photo capture and photo manipulation were exciting and unexpected.
