Half To Reflect

During Op Deep Freeze myself and Seth were stumbling around wondering what we could find to salvage the excursion. He in one direction and myself in another I came across this reflection of Half dome in a large pool cut off from the Merced river. Having only an 80mm lense with me I was fortunate enough to make the image frame up for me and ran off a couple of frames. I returned the next morning to shoot a few black and whites but the water was full of ice and cut down on any clarity. I feel this image in some ways epitomizes the beauty of Yosemite and in particular the simple yet powerful feel of Halfdome.
