Dense, lush undergrowth carpet the old and second growth forest along the banks of the upper Dungeness River, high in the Olympic Mountains, bordering the Olympic National Park, deep in the Buckhorn Wilderness above Sequim, Washington. Rain measured in feet, instead of inches, keep the ferns, mosses, fir and multitudes of species of vegetation that weave the carpet of the living floor of this ancient forest fed extremely well.
