The hike down to Gold Creek is laced with dense mossy forests laced with ferns, devil's club and salal. Gold Creek flows through the Buckhorn Wilderness to the Dungeness River, through the Dungeness Valley near Sequim, Washington and out to the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
