Giant & Rocky Mountains from Owls Head

I started out one late spring morning from the Spruce Hill trail head to Giant Mounting in the Adirondack High Peaks. A mile or so in, the trail splits and the left hand branch heads up Owls Head Mountain. I saw this view from the top and made a couple of 4x5 negs with a 135mm lens - then decided to switch to the 210mm and make a 2 negative panoramic shot of the scene. It took some serious doing to print the 2 negs so everything would fit but when it all came together in the darkroom I had a single 11 X 25 print. The original print is long gone to a good home and I never tried printing it again - - - someday maybe.
Here for your perusal is a digital version. You can't see each and every birch tree across the valley as in the print but I like the way it worked out.
