More than a century ago, when Bishop Jean-Baptiste Lamy was the spiritual leader of northern New Mexico's Roman Catholic population, he built a small chapel on his nearly 1000 acre retreat. This image is of the back of his chapel. This building is now on the National Register of Historic Places and the surrounding retreat has become The Bishop's Lodge, in Tesuque, New Mexico. This place has special meaning to me because my wife, Kirsten, and I were married here.
