The long ridge of the Cuillin Hills, on the Isle of Skye, provides challenging scrambling and rock-climbing, with airy traverses on many parts of the ridge. This picture, looking west from a summit above Glen Shiel, shows the full line of the main ridge. The water visible in the centre is the Sound of Sleat, which separates Skye from the mainland.
