I was walking on a deer path through some very tall reeds on the edge of a marsh, when I came across this female snapper trying to climb over a log, on her way to presumably lay her eggs. It was very narrow and as I passed her she lunged at me. What a warrior, she looks to be. I was going to try and remove the plants in front of her face, to get a better picture, but she thought my thumb would be an even exchange for her little bouquet. . . so I didn't argue with her. . . an interesting morning. She was a big girl. I estimate 20 lbs or so.
