This Great horned owl took over an osprey nest (on a platform) in CT. Crows came by, awakening the mother and causing her to fluff up her feathers. Crows were one of the few things that bothered her -- the sound of the train (very close) did not phase her and most of the other birds flew around the nest as if there was an invisible "NO FLY" zone around it. This was taken with a Canon 20D and a 500mm f4 IS Canone lens and a 1.5 kenko teleconverter. 1/640 sec f5.6 AV mode, -2/3 exposure compensation. I like this profile shot because both of their eyes are open and they are looking in the same direction. It was AWESOME to be able to watch this owlet over a few weeks until he fledged!
