This photograph was taken, handheld, using a Canon 20D and the 100-400 Canon IS lens (August 2005 Adirondack Park NY). I waited every morning for the male to bring in fish in for its mate and their chicks, patiently waiting in their nest. This trout, captured in its talons, also proved to the locals that the trout still existed in the local Adirondack waters. 1/3200 sec, f 5.6
