Great Blue Heron Dancer

I took this photo at the Venice Rookery in Florida using a Canon 20D, 500mm f4 IS Canon lens, 1.5 teleconverter (on a tripod, using a Sidekick). AV mode, 1/2000 sec f5.6, -1 exposure compensation. The great blue herons were bringing in sticks and exhibiting breeding behaviors like flapping their wings, stretching their head & neck up & clicking their bill. I especially like this image as you see his yellow eye thru his feathers, like an exotic dancer perhaps.
