Raising the flag

Groton, CT (Oct. 16, 2003) – HTFN (DV) John Davis (left) and OS3 (DV) Nathaniel Young, of the Naval Submarine Support Facility Dive Locker, recover an American flag which was blown off a submarine by high winds during a severe rain and wind storm that hit Southeastern Connecticut last month. In addition to conducting maintenance, the divers can also be called upon to conduct search and recovery operation in the SUBASE harbor.
