Climbing the rope ladder

Groton, CT (July 6, 2002) Tyler Xavier, 3½ years old, flips over while attempting to climb the rope ladder at the 13th annual SubFest at Dolphin Gardens last weekend. The four-day event moved off SUBASE for the first time, due to security reasons, and found a new home on a 40-acre plot of land on Highland Avenue in Groton. Carnival enthusiasts thronged to the new site and enjoyed dozens of games, rides and shows, including a 4th of July fireworks display Saturday night. (Photo by JO1(SW/AW) Mark A. Savage)
