White Meadows

On a particularly clear and bright day, my son managed to strap snow shoes on the old guy and lead me up a short trail on the South side of Mount Rainier. He went ahead (I think my huffin' and puffin' were destroying the tranquility) and dug a nice bench in the snowbank where we sat and watched the mountain and the meadows below. This is but one of the several pictures recording the beauty of that time. When I got back to the pickup and caught my breath, I thanked him profusely for yet another beautiful Northwest experience.
