Pedernales Falls State Park,TX
I made a study of all the shapes carved by water. There were so many..some smooth, some jagged, light, dark, pockmarked by dissolving the limestone with rain, some with sole marks...... I also photographed the actual waterfall, which was interesting. But, not nearly as interesting as the erosional features sculpted by rain and flash floods!

It was midday. The shadows played tricks with your eyes depending on where you stood. If you look closely at the feature, that I mirror imaged...you can see that it seems to be a stone on top of the gray limestone. But, it is actually a depression in the limestone!
