This hybrid blacktail/mule deer fawn was trying to hide in plain sight as I walked around a corner down my sister in law's driveway in Weed near Mt. Shasta, California. The wrinkled brow makes him appear to be a bit peaved at my sudden intrusion on his playground. I had my EF 100-400 IS L Canon lens on at short range. As soon as I took my eyes off of him for a second, he bolted off into the brush.
