I was fortunate to have grown up in Northern British Columbia, and spent most of my youth roaming the beautiful wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. My interest in photography began while attending university in Vancouver.
I photograph whenever I have the opportunity, usually on weekends and evenings.
Although I enjoy traveling to ‘special’ places to make photographs, I feel that great images can be made right in my backyard. Most of my photographs have been made within 50 km of my home, using Fuji Velvia and Ilford films. I believe that great photography is about enthusiasm and passion; it’s also about feeling the essence of a subject, along with, the gift of great light.
