I am a nature photographer from the Appalachian mountains of southeast Kentucky where I have lived the last 20 or so years of my life. This journey really began for me in the fall of 2004, when I bought my first decent digital camera a Sony F717 point and shoot. I had shot some flowers growing in our yard, with some encouragement I entered those shots in a local contest and won first place for one of the images. The rest as they say is history! ļ
I have won numerous awards online and locally. Here are a few, back to back Best of Shows 05,06 at the Festival of the Mountain Masters, 6 Editors Picks at Nature Photographers Online Magazine and been featured in a national juried show in Richmond VA. Many blue ribbons from the Mountain Heritage Festival photo contests over the years. Several images published locally and published nationally in Outdoor Photographer. I won the Arts For the Parks National Heritage Award. Winner of 3 photo¡¦s of the month at online photography site. I am a member of the Kentucky Guild of Artist and Craftsmen (juried in) the state of Kentucky¡¦s largest and oldest community of artist and craftsmen.
