Rick Lundh (Henrik Anker Biergorde Lundh III) was born in Portland Oregon in 1968. He grew up in a family of photography enthusiasts. Rick bought his first professional level film camera when he was 14 years old. He grew his knowledge by absorbing as many photography classes and publications as he could up through high school and deeply enjoyed his role as yearbook photographer during that time. While in college, Rick began to develop a taste for landscape photography, and could often be found exploring the hills and tributaries that fed the North Umpqua River in Southern Oregon, with his camera in hand “working the scene”.
With the coming of the computer age, Rick was hooked and began to devote more of his time to this newly added passion and hopeful career path, and photography began to take a back seat. The introduction of the digital camera in 1996, made him realize that both of his passions and experience could join forces, and his photography took off from there. Advances in both technologies have made for more efficient processing techniques to be utilized, leaving a greater depth of control on the final output of each image.
Currently, Rick works as IT Manager for a small, but advanced telecommunications company in Oregon City, Oregon…and in his spare time, can be found more often chasing that ever elusive perfect sunset…
