Richard has been holding a camera for about 50 years. Starting with a little plastic box camera taking black and white prints. He quickly graduated to an entry level 35mm rangefinder camera. Several cameras leter, he has graduated to the world of a digital SLR--and doesn't want to look back.
In his other life he is a college chemistry instructor and part time TV producer. But the first true love is photographing nature. From the wild Pacific coast to intimate flower portraits--he loves to photograph it all.
My criteria for a successful photograph is if it elicits an emotional response from the viewer. I don't care what kind of response--joy, anger, curiosity, peace, or any other feeling. Just look and let your feelings flow while looking.
