Wildlife has held a fascination for me nearly all of my life. As a child, I thought everyone hunted and I earned my spending money shooting Jack Rabbits and selling the furs. Later, I gave up hunting with guns and switched to the camera, choosing to enjoy photographing the subjects and letting them remain free.
I am self employed and enjoy an established business. I turned to wildlife photography as a change of pace and a way to get myself out into the places where wild things live. To challenge myself, I started printing wildlife calendars for my family and close friends as Christmas gifts. The excitement of getting the photos for "next year's" calendar is an enjoyable challenge I eagerly look forward to each year.
The majority of my images are from the northwestern and north central United States. As with any photographer, when I travel my camera is always with me.
