I've been taking photos since I was 8 when my parents bought me my first camera for Christmas: a Kodak 110. I've pretty much had a camera in my hand ever since.
I use Canon cameras. I have a 7D, a 30D, an xTi, and the original Canon Digital Rebel (300). I also ALWAYS carry the Canon S2 IS with me. It's just about my favorite camera. Its super-macro feature is amazing. I also use an Olympus FE-100 for its super-macro feature, too. It's an amazing little camera.
I'm 41 and have been happily married for 24 years to my high school sweetheart. We have two children, Brooke, 23, and Cain, 20.
I am crazy about photography. I love shooting nature--wildlife and landscapes. Butterflies and birds are among my favorite subjects.
For editing I use Photoshop CS4, & if I'm in a hurry I use Picasa, which is a terrific free program from Google (www.picasa.com). I only do basic editing; I don't do anything that dramatically changes my photos. I like them to be "as shot." There's nothing WRONG with people using editing software to make their photographs pieces of art by doing major editing, but that's just not for me. :)
I love Jesus, Christmas, the colors green & orange, spring, fall (autumn), the ocean, and being in the woods. My other hobbies include hiking, camping, and Geocaching. I listen to Fleetwood Mac when I cook and clean, and sing horribly with songs on the radio. I read a lot, love my subscriptions to Southern Living, Birds & Blooms, Popular Photography & Country. I would be a full-time student if I could afford it.
I love the Lord and thank him daily for the blessings that I receive. :)
