I have been doing photography professionally for almost 20 years. I ran my own wedding and portrait business for almost 12 years, but shut it down a few years ago to be able to spend more time with my family and friends and to do the photography I really love, Nature & Landscape.
While I understand the technical side of photography I tend to break the rules more often than not in pursuit of the artistic side of photography. I love to try new compositions and views! I avoid using gimicky filters or software. I don't spend a lot of time editing my images as I try to do most of it in camera.
Lately I have played a bit with HDR and while it should certainly not be used for every image, it does have its pros.
I am currently working on a project right now that I am calling "Life Through The Lens". I am taking a different image every day for a 1 year period. At the end of the that year I hope to self publish a book of all of those images. You can follow the progress of this project on my blog.
