I initially worked as a sports photographer for many of the British national newspapers, including the Daily Telegraph and the Times.
From the late 80s until 2000 I specialized in equestrian subjects, travelling around the world to major national and international sporting events and photographing breeds, equestrian personalities, as well as feature assignments for specialist magazines. I have covered 6 Olympic Games as an accredited photographer and was the Photo Manager at Whistler Olympic Park during the 2010 Winter Olympics. From 4 July 2011 I will be working as the Deputy Photo Manager for the London Olympic Games
After 25 years of sports photography I now concentrate on wildlife and nature photography.
My work takes me worldwide with more and more time now being spent in South America. I not only work on assignment, particularly in Brazil but also run frequent photo tours for other photographers to locations worldwide.
Probably my favourite working location is The Pantanal in Brazil with it's wealth of flora and fauna.
