Michael's photographic experience covers a wide range of subjects, from the Natural World, Travel and Lifestyle. His interest in travel and wildlife photography heralds from many visits to the African continent, meeting the people and getting up close and personal with Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Leopard and Crocodile!
Michael describes his photography as a passion. 'I have always enjoyed taking pictures whatever the subject, producing the final image as in my early years developing and printing black and white pictures. Thirty five years later, I am again in control of the total process from image capture to final print'. Michael now spends most of his time on his two favourite subjects, nature and travel.
In 2003 Michael gained his Associate Distinction in nature photography with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS). He achieved this status using Nikon digital photographic equipment.
Michael has had various pictures and articles published in a variety of magazines and photographic journals. An exhibition of his wildlife pictures has also been displayed in London and received outstanding acclaim. He has recently won a Gold medal from the Travel Group of the Royal Photographic Society in addition to the Bronze medal awarded by the Nature Group two years earlier.
