Retired high school English teacher and basketball coach who has come late, but passionately to photography. I wasn't without influences growing up. While I had a basketball (or football or baseball) in my hands, the rest of my family had cameras in theirs. My dad was an avid amateur who built his own darkroom in our garage. My brother was a US Marine photographer whose combat photos may still be seen in several books on the Vietnam conflict. They have both passed away, but the seed they planted in me lives on. I strive to apply the lessons they taught me and to live up to their standards and love for the art of photography.
I currently split my residence between southern California and western Washington.
