Since I was a young boy, I have always been interested in nature and the outdoors. I loved exploring the woods around our home, and I loved watching the birds and the squirrels go about their daily activities. There was something magical about being the only person around and being able to experience all the beauty and amazing sights offered up by Mother Nature. Several years ago I began to photograph these scenes with the hope that I could capture a small instant of the beauty and excitement I was experiencing. If I could do that, then maybe I could share some of what I was feeling with others and bring to them at least a small part of the enjoyment that I was feeling. Not everyone is as fortunate as I am to be able to see and experience the beauty of nature as I do. My photography is fairly equally divided between trying to show the splendor of the world around us and trying to showcase the creatures who occupy it. It is a never ending quest, and I have a long way to go.
