Karen Lawrence has been photographing wildlife and wild places since 1989. Her interest in nature developed in her childhood where she began exploring in the back woods of Florida. A trip to Tanzania, Africa exposed Karen to large expanses of wilderness and huge concentrations of wild animals, inspiring her to explore more wild places and improve her photographic skills. Karen has made many trips to the wild areas of the Southeast United States and occasional treks Westward and Northward to observe and photograph wild creatures and habitats.
