Janice and Nolan Braud - we are a team, both for photography and for life (married 47 years as of now). We are both retired from careers as computer programmers. Nolan, who has been legally blind all his life (a legally blind photographer's a bit unusual), got his first camera at age 12, then graduated to 35mm, Medium Format, and finally to professional level digital SLR cameras. Janice got her first serious camera in 1991, and she now uses Canon's 1D Mark II camera.
Both individually and as a team, we have won many first place and Best of Show awards in Texas area contests, plus we have exhibited and sold both prints and framed images in several local galleries. We have been published in Birds and Blooms, Texas Parks & Wildlife, Shutterbug, and local newspapers. We have also done assignment work for local entities such as the city of The Woodlands, Texas. We belong to a number of local photography clubs and are active participants in their seminars, field trips and contests.
We are primarily nature photographers, with a strong love for gardens, floral scenes, birds, butterflies, landscapes, and unusual lighting. Plus our love of photography provides a great excuse for traveling to beautiful places. It's a great way to grow old together.
