Both my wife and I share a passion for outdoor photography, and recently we decided to "go professional" with our passion. Together we do a fair bit of outdoor travel, such as backpacking, snowshoeing, and skiing, and of course we always bring our cameras with us!
I began taking photos with an old Brownie Hawkins cube-shaped camera that was given to me when I was around 9 years old. My first big nature photography forray was on a family winter trip to Yellowstone Nat'l Park when I was in grade 6. Upon high school graduation in 1984, I got a nice Yashica 35mm SLR camera, which was my introduction to all the manual settings that come into play with good photo compostion.
Three years ago I made the transition to digital photography, and I now use an Olympus 8.1 MP E-500 DSLR, with a Konica Minolta 5 MP as a secondary camera.
We make our home in Chilliwack B.C., which is about an hour east of Vancouver B.C., Canada.
