I am a high school Spanish teacher, having graduated from Centre College in 2004. I live in Northern KY, directly south of Cincinnati, Ohio. I began this hobby primarily interested in portrait and documentary photography. I quickly realized that for me, photography without the natural element did not stimulate my interest at all. At this point, I began to travel frequently to National Parks, photographing landscapes and waterfalls. After traveling and experiencing Banff, Canada, I decided to focus my photography skills (and equipment) on that which excited me the most: wildlife photography. I love the hunt, the wait, and the capture of magnificent animals in the wild, and I simply can't wait to get to Alaska in 5 years!
My most visited National Park is the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee. This is an excellent park that consists of waterfalls, idyllic cabin scenes, wildlife, and sunrise and sunset opportunities. Everything that you could ever hope to photography can be found in the limits of this park.
