I am a New York City area (Westchester County) based photographer with diverse interests including nature / wildlife, landscape, and sports photography. My interest in photography has been nurtured over 30 years from 35mm and medium format film imaging to my current state of the art digital work flow. My involvement in birding in the mid-1990's rekindled a love of nature and led to a pursuit of opportunities to photograph birds in the wild. Other specific nature interests include macro-photography of spiders and insects and landscape photography in our National Parks and other beautiful locations. I also enjoy photographing sports, including various motorsports, baseball, and golf.
I am a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), and travel widely shooting images of nature. Although I love the American West, one of my favorite locations is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which has unlimited photo opportunities and is "relatively" close to my home. When not on the road, I frequently visit Westchester County parks for macro-photography.
