Photography has long been a passion for me. For about 15 years I worked as a professional photographer in Western, North Carolina. From weddings to church directories I covered the entire spectrum of photography. However, the lack of control after you place your film in the mail grew to be too much, and I eventually gave up professional photography. Since the early seventies I have been a professional auctioneer and real estate broker. I still do five auctions a week. With the advent of digital photography, I have again picked up the camera for pleasure and relaxation. Nature photography affords me the outlet I need and the digital age gives me the control over my work that was lacking when film was the only alternative.
